Launched 3 incubators at New York University (NYU)

  • Generation SEEDS partnered with New York University's Tandons School of Engineering and the New York City Economic Development Corporation in order to to launch 3 innovative entrepreneurial incubators for students, start-ups, and small businesses.

    1. Varick Street Incubator - focused on data, cyber security, financial technology, and information technology (IT)
    2. BEST (Brooklyn Enterprise of Science and Technology) Incubator - focused on media and digital technology
    3. NYC ACRE Incubator - focused on alternative energy and clean technology

Launched the Global Business Incubator (GBI) in New York City and Southern India

  • Generation SEEDS partnered with the United Nations in New York City in order to to launch the Global Business Incubator(GBI). To date GBI has created 4 operational incubators, a digital incubator linked to its headquarters in New York City, and 3 full service facilities, which operate in collaboration with 3 Engineering Universities located in southern India. These facilities have already enrolled multiple companies offering proven products and services that will deliver benefits throughout the Indian markets. 

 

  • GBI is also in the final process of adding a new partner, GBI-Middle East, located in Abu Dhabi to provide services throughout Middle Eastern countries, cities, and local communities. The company is also working aggressively with the new state of Seema Andhra, located in southern India where GBI university incubators are located, in order to design and deploy an effective program that will kick-start “new businesses and sustainable jobs.” Finally, GBI will also be presenting the government of Indonesia with strategies for deploying GBI services   throughout that country.
